Digital machines have the capability of printing jobs in collated order. Litho, on the other hand, will print as many copies as is needed of one page before moving onto the next. Thankfully, our collator means that if we ever need to print booklets lithographically, we can quickly get pages into the correct order before taking them to be bound.
Accuracy is key to curating that professional finish your customers are looking for. If loose sheets aren’t perfectly lined up in a stack, there may be discrepancies when that print comes to be guillotined. Our Polar Joggers help to bring a paper stack together so that when the blade comes down, it will be accurate across all sheets.
After every other machine in the factory has had its moment, the EVO 500 gets the final say. We shrink wrap items to help ensure that they arrive to you in the best condition possible. Not only does shrink wrapping keep paper from shifting around in the box, possibly getting creased and ripped, it also helps to prevent scratches on your print’s smooth finish.
Our Dallipack Manual Banders, and a selection of banders from ATS, are located around our factory for a couple of reasons – predominantly to keep print stacks neat. We try to keep as many processes inline or near-line as possible. However, there is sometimes a wait and when that happens, it can be useful to band stacks together to prevent loose sheets getting separated between stages.
You might also want to receive your order in specific banded quantities (e.g. 2000 flyers in 10 x 200 stacks). Our Dispatch bander creates these sets for you before they get boxed up and sent out.
Another feature of our Dispatch department is our void filling equipment from Easypack. If your order doesn’t quite fill a box, we can quickly fill the gaps to prevent your print moving around in transit and possibly getting damaged.
Easypack void filler paper is 100% recycled and recyclable. It’s also biodegradable and contains no chemicals, so even if your clients forget to recycle it, it still won’t harm the environment.
Another timesaver in our Dispatch department is our pair of Palamides gatherers. These machines mean that our team members don’t have to spend their time counting items into equal piles before boxing them up. They can simply enter the number of items they want in each stack and the gatherers do the counting and stacking for them.
