Welcome To Inkjet Presses

We have a growing collection of inkjet printers as we're keen to invest in the latest print developments. By investing in inkjet, we can enjoy the best of both worlds; the quality of litho and the flexibility of digital.

We currently own five inkjet printers across our factory. Each of our inkjet printers are part of a different production stream; our Scitex deals with large-format work, our Truepresses with booklets, and our Jet Press with business cards.

We produce all of our large format work on our two HP Scitex presses. These flat-bed printers can process a wide variety of substrates. If we really wanted to, we could feed a wooden door through these presses because the Scitex can handle anything up to 30mm thick.

The Scitex presses are fitted with HP’s HDR printing technology to adjust the size of its ink drops. Large ink drops mean the Scitex can produce smooth block colours, while smaller ink drops can create finer details in your artwork.

We were so impressed with our first Truepress we ordered a second within just a couple of weeks. This is a continuous feed printer meaning that stock is passed through the press on one long stream of paper and only guillotined into individual pages after printing.

This printing method is highly efficient, especially for booklets which require several pages printed on the same stock type. It also uses an ink-based costing model, rather than a sheet-based model, which helps us keep costs low for you. The incredible efficiency of the Truepress means that we can get your booklet orders to you much faster without compromising on quality.

Quality is of utmost importance when it comes to business cards but so is the flexibility to produce short runs efficiently with different finishes. The Jet Press means we don’t have to compromise on either!

We no longer have to wait for several similar jobs to gang together, like we would if printing lithographically. As for quality, 75% of customers preferred a business card printed on the Jet Press when asked in a blind test.

This added flexibility is also what led us to be able to offer spot UV embellishments – a must for luxury business cards. Plus, with such improved production times, the Jet Press means you can get your cards on a same-day turnaround if you need them in a hurry.
